Ontario is helping an eastern Ontario food processing solutions company invest in new equipment that will enhance productivity, diversify its product line and export markets, and create new jobs.
By introducing cutting-edge refrigerated tempering capabilities as well as new value-added meat processing and cooking lines, Canadian Blast Freezers Ltd. will improve overall operational efficiencies, expand its client base and increase profitability. The province is providing $620,820 through the Eastern Ontario Development Fund to help grow the company’s business.
The two-year, $4,138,805 project will create 75 new jobs and provide eastern Ontario with a fully-integrated, state-of-the art food processing facility.
This investment supports the province’s five-year Open Ontario plan to create new opportunities for jobs and growth.
